Role Summary
As a Project Manager (Agile/Scrum) at Compyl, you’ll play a critical role in driving product and engineering efforts to deliver high-quality software on time. You will serve as the connective tissue between teams, organizing sprints, removing blockers, and ensuring alignment across cross-functional stakeholders. You’ll need to bring strong technical acumen, a passion for Agile methodologies, and the ability to drive fast-paced SaaS projects from concept to release with clarity and accountability.
Key Responsibilities:
Agile Project Leadership
- Serve as Scrum Master for one or more product development teams, facilitating sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and reviews.
- Maintain and groom the product backlog in collaboration with Product and Engineering leads.
- Track and communicate project progress, timelines, and deliverables across teams.
- Monitor team velocity, identify bottlenecks, and implement continuous improvement strategies.
- Maintain sprint artifacts and help define DOR/DoD standards.
Cross-Functional Execution
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, Engineers, QA, and other stakeholders to ensure clear priorities and alignment.
- Coordinate project timelines across multiple workstreams and ensure that cross-functional dependencies are accounted for.
- Work with QA to ensure proper testing and release planning for each sprint or feature launch.
Technical & Operational Support
- Understand technical architecture and product features well enough to identify risks, ask smart questions, and troubleshoot workflow blockers.
- Manage project documentation, meeting notes, and sprint reports for transparency and accountability.
- Assist with tools administration related to Jira, Confluence, and project tracking systems.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of end-to-end SDLC project management experience
- Strong command of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and experience serving as a Scrum Master or Agile Project Manager
- Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence (or equivalent tools) for backlog, sprint, and board management
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with a track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, especially when coordinating across technical and non-technical teams
- Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and release management best practices
- Bonus: Experience in SaaS environments
Pay Range: $115,000 – $150,000. Geographic differentials may apply based on local market rates.
