According to IBM’s report on the Cost of a Data Breach,” the average total cost of a data breach was USD 4.35 million, which is a 2.6% increase to last year and an all-time high figure. On that note, cyber insurers have been struggling as they are taking more significant losses, seeing tighter margins, and hence providing less protection for more money as they are taking too many unknown risks.
